Administrative & Merchandise Manager

As an Administrative Assistant and Merchandise Manager for the Ottawa Titans, you will keep the office and team store organized and coordinated. You’ll demonstrate your superior customer service skills in person and by phone, while developing and expanding the teams apparel exposure. A successful candidate will use cold calls, face-to-face meetings and email marketing as methods for building lasting relationships with local businesses and individuals. As a member of our team, a high level of performance will enable you the opportunity to take on additional roles as your skills and resume to continually develop. The ability to work as a part of team is a must!

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Merchandise:

  • Ordering/Designing New Merchandise, sourcing suppliers and pricing
  • Track and manage inventory for Merchandise stock and sales
  • Manage and maintain POS System and online sales site
  • Recruit, hire and manage merchandise sales staff (During Season)
  • Assist to source and order Player Apparel
  • Manage, report and track all merchandise transactions, floats and processing
  • General Store Duties, responsible for the operation of a store daily, customer service relations, maintain and tidy store, restock store as needed
  • Source and coordinate outside vendors to carry and sell team apparel

Administrative:

  • Act as primary Administrative staff as required
  • Answer calls and direct as required, answer questions and ensure top level customer service
  • Build and enforce best practices for office management
  • Order and organize office supplies as required 

Sales and Other:

  • Assist to facilitate and process ticket sales and renewals
  • Field calls to ensure fan and ticket holder questions are answered
  • Make cold calls and develop lists for calling to area companies to build new relationships
  • Always prospect and research to grow new sales leads
  • Record all activity and sales pipeline details in the ticket CRM system
  • Provide superior customer service to clients – existing ticket holders, prospects, and single game customers
  • Attend team and community events for the purpose of making new connections and maximizing sales opportunities
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

  • Bilingual (English-French), organized, passionate and trustworthy
  • Highly motivated with a desire to be successful
  • Strong communication and computer/technical skills
  • Detail-oriented and organized: ability to handle several projects at once
  • Ability to supervise and lead a staff
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
