Ottawa Titans Welcome New Members to Lead Front Office

Dec 09, 2020

Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Titans Baseball Club announced Wednesday the arrival of two signings to its Front Office staff.
Both have experience in professional baseball, are well respected in the Ottawa market, and will look to grow the organization
in its inaugural season.

The Titans are pleased to welcome one of the most seasoned baseball front office members in the entire city, Davyd Balloch.
A native of Ottawa, Balloch has worked with many of the teams of the past in many capacities, and now will lead the office
as the team’s Vice President, Sales, and Operations. Balloch helped land baseball back in Ottawa with the arrival of the
Ottawa Rapids in 2008. Balloch was a part of the 2016 Ottawa Champions when they won the Can-Am League title, in the
role of Assistant General Manager.

“I am looking forward to continuing my passion for professional baseball in Ottawa,” said Balloch. “I have always been a
firm believer that professional baseball belongs in the nation’s capital. I am really looking forward to working for Sam and
Regan Katz, who have made the Winnipeg Goldeyes a huge success since 1994. With their leadership, I believe the Ottawa
Titans will become the next Ottawa sports landmark. To the Ottawa fans, a championship on its way.”

Another native of the Nation’s Capital and a man who has been around the game his entire life, playing at many levels,
including with the Champions, Sebastien Boucher grew from a coach into a manager to succeed the great Hal Lanier. Now,
Boucher will make the move to the team’s front office, as the Titans bilingual Assistant General Manager. He will look to
spearhead the organization’s commitment to the community of Ottawa and Gatineau. In his playing days, Boucher was one
of the most prolific hitters in Can-Am League history, being the all-time leader in hits (981), runs (597), and RBI’s (545). A
seventh-round pick of the Seattle Mariners in 2004, Boucher spent four seasons in the Seattle and Baltimore organizations,
reaching as high as Triple-A. He also played for Canada at the 2006 World Baseball Classic. Off the field, Boucher is active
in the region’s baseball community, serving as the head coach at Sport Études baseball Gatineau program and co-owner of
Gatineau’s Académie de Baseball.

“I’m very excited to start this new chapter in my baseball career,” said Boucher. I am looking forward to making an impact
for the betterment of baseball in the city of Ottawa and Gatineau.”

The Ottawa Titans are scheduled to hit the field in late Spring of 2021 playing in the Frontier League, a partner league of
Major League Baseball.
