Part-Time Summer Game Day


  • Mascot (Appearances/Fill-In)

    Duties

    • Be the face of the Ottawa Titans and maintain the integrity of the Mascot.

    • Perform at Ottawa Titans Home Games.

    • Sign autographs and take pictures with fans.

    • Participate in choreographed routines during games and participate in all required on-field and in-stadium promotions.

    • Provide excellent interactions to fans of all ages.

    • Walk around the ballpark interacting with fans in creative, unique, and engaging ways.

    • Working as a team with our staff to provide mid-inning entertainment for our fans.

    • Opportunity to attend additional community events.

    • Other responsibilities as assigned.


    Qualifications

    • Strong performer, highly charismatic, ability to interact with a wide variety of fans and staff, especially children.

    • Previous experience in acting, performance arts, entertainment, promotions, cheerleading, gymnastics, aerobics, or mascot experience preferred.

    • Understanding of choreography & the ability to dance is required.

    • Strong nonverbal communication skills.

    • Must be able to perform all physical job duties with high energy and enthusiasm.

    • Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays.

    • Living in Ottawa or the National Capital Region.


    Physical Requirements

    • At least moderate physical fitness.

  • MC / On-Field Host (Bilingual)

    Duties

    • Act as in-game host / MC  and a member of the on-field production team for all Titans home games

    • Interact with fans throughout the game both on and off-camera/microphone

    • Be a positive representation of the team during games

    • Assist with and help facilitate all in-game and on-field promotions

    • Energize the crowd in various unique ways


    Qualifications

    • Bilingualism (English/French) required

    • Previous relevant experience

    • Comfortable performing in front of large crowds

    • Ability to frequently go outside your comfort zone

  • Fan Service Representative (Entertainer)

    Duties

    • Help our fans have a memorable and positive experience.

    • Contribute to the success and positive community standing of the organization.

    • Greet as many people as possible and ask fans if they require assistance.

    • Get medical aid to injured or sick fans promptly, if required.

    • Observe the fans in your section to identify any problems.

    • Participate in promotions including product tosses, Seventh Inning Stretch, and any other music that requires doing actions to increase crowd participation.


    Qualifications

  • Retail Store Associate

    Duties

    • Accurately process customer transactions, purchases, and returns

    • Assist customers with merchandise and apparel questions

    • Clean, organize, and restock the store as needed

    • Greet customers as they enter the store and offer assistance

    Duties

    • Follow the supervisor's assignments for opening and closing procedures, as well as food production.

    • Prepare food and beverage products for customers by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques, and sanitation guidelines.

    • Become educated with all menu items and able to assist guests with questions pertaining to food allergies and sensitivities.

    • Set up and operate kitchen equipment.

    • Clean equipment properly according to correct procedures.

    • Keep the workstation clean, organized, sanitized, and sufficiently stocked.

    • Work cooperatively with co-workers and management.

    • May need to work within other areas of the concessions department if needed.

    Qualifications

    • Cooking experience preferred (line cook, restaurant cook, or prep cook).

  • Prep Cook & Dishwasher

    Duties

    • Ensure consistently clean and sanitized dishes, equipment, and small wares according to correct procedures.

    • Assist with the preparation of meals for guests, staff, and players by following recipe guidelines, using proper preparation techniques and sanitation guidelines.

    • Ensure the quality of products and accurate preparation of all food items as directed by the kitchen supervisor.

  • Cashier

    Duties

    • Greet guests, communicate offerings, and answer any guest questions in a friendly manner.

    • Become educated with all menu items and able to assist guests with questions pertaining to food allergies and sensitivities.

    • Serve food and beverage items in correct proportions, following proper sanitation guidelines.

    • Participate in the set-up of the concession, arrange inventory, notifies the supervisor of any inventory deficiency or shortages.

    • Perform clean-up duties to maintain the quality appearance of the work area, including cleaning equipment.

    • Record all transactions via the point-of-sale system and inform guests of the amounts owed.

    • Collect the proper money for food and beverage items; process credit cards or determine the correct change for guests.

    • Account for all transactions; maintain accurate cash count and balance cashout at the end of shift.

    • May need to work within other areas of the concessions department if needed.

    • Other duties as required.

  • In-Stands Hawker (Alcohol/Food)

    Duties

    • Providing premium level quick service carrying trays of alcoholic beverages (beer and coolers) throughout the stands.

    • Offering upbeat, energetic sales to guests; offer upsells.

    • Be familiar with drink choices, so as to answer questions and make suggestions.

    • Follow all proper alcohol service standards including asking for ID (when necessary), maximum quantities of service, and safe alcohol service.

    • Calculate order totals mentally and process payments accurately.

    • Account for all transactions; maintain accurate cash count and balance cashout at the end of shift.

    • May need to work within other areas of the concessions department if needed.

  • Runner/Warehouse Stocking

    Duties

    • Perform opening and closing duties as directed by the manager or supervisor.

    • Keep food and beverage items stocked, and deliver necessary stock to various areas of the ballpark.

    • Ensure coffee is brewed fresh and delivered to appropriate areas.

    • Deliver food and beverage items to guests in the stands and in the suites.

    • Become educated with all menu items and able to assist guests with questions pertaining to food allergies and sensitivities.

    • Keep the back of the concession clean and organized; wash dishes as necessary.

    • Assist suite servers in restocking and cleaning suites. 

    • Locate and deliver products to various locations in the ballpark as required.

    • Receive, organize, and restock products in respective areas.

    • Sort beer cans and other recycling.

    • Assist in inventory counts.

    • Ensure the loading dock and warehouse are kept clean and organized.

    • Clean floors and other areas as needed.

    • Assist other concession staff in their duties.

    • May need to work within other areas of the concessions department if needed.

    • Other duties as required.

    Duties

    • Deliver food and drinks to guests, ensuring expediency and accuracy of each order.

    • Record all transactions via the point-of-sale system and run tabs for guests for the duration of the game.
