Summer of Fun Awaits Titans Fans

In their first couple of seasons, the Ottawa Titans have become well known for their unique brand of affordable family fun, rivalled by few others in the city.

In 2024, General Manager Martin Boyce and the rest of the Titans’ staff are keen to take things a step further, hosting 35 theme games, including fan favourites like fireworks nights and baseball bingo, and some new and interesting concepts, such as a “Don’t Hate on Nickleback Night,” or Latin Night.

On the field, the Titans have brought back numerous key pieces, while making big additions in their chase for a championship, and while the action promises to be entertaining enough, there’s a place for even the most casual baseball fans at Ottawa Stadium, thanks to the variety of different themes.

“The goal is for this to be an experience, this is more than just baseball,” Boyce said. “It’s meant to be a fun night out, where there happens to be a baseball game going on in the background. We’ve heard from fans that when there are promotions, it leads to more fun, so we’re willing to put the extra effort in to get creative and offer fans something new every day.”

This season, some new options to take in the action are being introduced, with one of the packages available being exclusively for Fireworks, of which there are seven shows.

“Those games have been a big success for us in our first two seasons, so naturally, we created a package that’s very palatable to the average fan, where you can attend five of our fireworks games,” said Boyce.

Additionally, for those looking to bring their large groups to the park and stay away from the elements, the Titans are now offering the perfect experience.

“Our goal is always to create new social environments at the ballpark,” Boyce said. “We have a space on the third-floor suite level called The Ballpark Gallery Restaurant, and that will be a private function space starting at 50 people, and going up all the way to 120.”

For people who can’t get enough of jerseys, there’s something for you, too. Once again, the Titans will switch out their regular red pinstripes for something different, and sometimes wacky, one of which will be influenced entirely by you, the fans.

“We have three theme jerseys,” Boyce said. “One for Pre-Canada Day, one for Holidays in July theme jersey, and the final one will be the one that engages with the fans the most. It will feature roughly 80 dogs that our fans submit pictures of.”

Even with all of this going on, things still get sweeter. Not only are the Titans giving away a trip to the All-Star Game, but they are sending a lucky fan to Jamaica.

“What’s exciting for me is that this is the first time we’re doing a trip giveaway,” Boyce said. “We’re giving one lucky fan a trip to Jamaica courtesy of the Jamaican Tourism Board that will be handed out toward the end of the season, and we also have a trip to the All-Star Game in Quebec City.”

Single-game tickets are now on sale. The Titans’ regular season kicks off on May 10th, and they open their home schedule on May 21st, when the first 500 fans in attendance will walk away with their own Titans bucket hat.
