OFFICIAL FRONTIER LEAGUE BOX SCORE

Ottawa, ON - The Ottawa Titans (7-13) dropped the middle game of their three-game series by a score of 5-4 to the Quebec Capitales (8-11) on Saturday.

Putting last night's theatrics behind them, the Capitales opened the scoring with an RBI double from Juremi Profar in the first as he plated TJ White.

Alec Thomas (ND, 1-0) would settle in and pick up a quality start in his sixth outing (third start) of the season by going six strong frames, allowing just one run, on four hits, not walking a batter, and matching a career-high with seven strikeouts.

The Titans were only able to string together three hits off Stephen Chamblee (win, 1-2) over the first five innings, with two going for extra bases.

With two outs in the sixth, AJ Wright doubled to left to extend the inning before Jason Dicochea belted his fourth homer of the season, putting the Titans ahead 2-1.

The Capitales would rally to tie the game against Gleyvin Pineda (loss, 0-1) on an RBI double from Justin Gideon in the seventh. Next, Bryan Leef ripped a two-run shot to left to put the Capitales ahead by a pair.

In the ninth, Emile Boies knocked home Kyle Crowl with an RBI single against Chris Burica to put the visitors ahead by three.

Manny Garcia would make things interesting in the bottom half, tagging Kyle Mott (save, 1) for a two-run blast to make it a one-run game. Mott would then retire the next two he faced to finish off the contest.

The Ottawa Titans end their three-game series against the Quebec Capitales tomorrow afternoon at 1:00 pm at Ottawa Stadium. All the action can be heard on CKDJ 107.9 and live-streamed on Flo Baseball.
